Circular Economy Project

Repair Cafe

Gisborne, Tairāwhiti

About this project

We are looking to set up regular Repair Café events with the aim of volunteers sharing their invaluable skills to repair broken items brought in by members of the public. This builds knowledge base, capacity & resilience.

If we are to become truly circular, we need to start working higher up on the waste hierarchy. Repair Cafés directly divert items from our landfills and reduce our environmental impact, whilst allowing our community to engage in accessible climate action.
